The State Infrastructure Bank (SIB) Symposium, hosted by the University of Maryland’s Build America Center (BAC) and in collaboration with the Federal Highway Administration and Texas Department of Transportation, will take place on May 21, 2025, in Austin, TX. This event will bring together state DOT officials, FHWA representatives, financial experts, and other key stakeholders to explore strategies for expanding and enhancing the use of SIBs as a powerful financing tool for transportation projects.
Participants will engage in discussions on the current state of SIBs, new capitalization opportunities, implementation challenges, and best practices for improving program efficiency and effectiveness. Through interactive sessions and expert insights, this symposium aims to identify actionable strategies for advancing SIBs and maximizing their role in transportation infrastructure development.
