Event Description
The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act or Bipartisan Infrastructure Law provides increased long-term investment for transportation as well as significant policy changes for the next five years. The law includes noteworthy provisions for project sponsors interested in public-private partnerships (P3s), innovative finance and delivery methods, and emerging asset classes.
This webinar highlighted available resources on the law’s provisions but focused primarily on gaining new insight into what transportation practitioners are thinking about the legislation and what’s next for state DOTs. The webinar featured a dynamic panel of current and former public sector professionals, offering both public and private sector perspectives. The facilitated discussion addressed how the investment and policy changes of IIJA/ BIL will impact transportation agencies as they manage challenges associated with COVID, workforce development, racial and social justice concerns, climate change, safety, rapidly changing technology, and more. The panel also fielded questions from the audience.
